Dehydration can worsen gastroenteritis. It can arise excessive loss of fluid from the body. Extreme thirst, urine that is dark in color or smelly, dry lips and mouth, dizziness and sunken cheeks or eyes are symptoms of dehydration. 

Treatment for Gastroenteritis

There are home remedies that can be used for first aid treatment. People can recover within several days without the need for medical treatment, as long as they stay properly hydrated. To stay hydrated their things you need to consider. first will be drinking lots of water or fluids such as broths or soups, diluted non-caffeinated sports drinks (e.g. Powerade or Gatorade), and rehydration formulas. Second, stop eating solid food to let settle your stomach. And lastly, you need to take some rest. Resting your body can make the healing process faster.
