Ingredients: Myrrh, cascara sagrada, Hawthorne berry, shavegrass, kelp, yucca, pau d’arco, peppermint, queen of the meadow, American saffron, Celery Seed, catalyst altered water, natural vegetable glycerin.

BENEFITS OF INGREDIENTS

MYRRH

Myrrh is a sap-like substance (resin) that comes out of cuts in the bark of certain trees.

Myrrh is used by mouth for indigestion, ulcerative colitis, pain, parasite infections, and many other conditions. But there is no good scientific research to support the use of myrrh for any of these or other conditions.

CASCARA SAGRADA

Cascara sagrada is primarily used to treat constipation. The anthraquinones contained in the bark inhibit the absorption of water and electrolytes in the intestines. Because of this, stool volume increases as it absorbs the excess water, which increases pressure within the intestine. This stimulates muscle contractions in the colon (peristalsis), speeding the clearance of the bowel.

HAWTHRONE BERRY

Hawthorn is a plant. The leaves, berries, and flowers of hawthorn are used to make medicine.

Hawthorn is used for diseases of the heart and blood vessels such as congestive heart failure (CHF), chest pain, and irregular heartbeat. It is also used to treat both low blood pressure and high blood pressure, “hardening of the arteries” (atherosclerosis), and high cholesterol. So far, research suggests that hawthorn might be effective in treating congestive heart failure, but there hasn’t been enough research on other heart-related uses to know if it is effective for them.

SHAVE GRASS

Horsetail is a plant. The above-ground parts are used to make medicine.
Horsetail is used for "fluid retention" (edema), kidney and bladder stones, urinary tract infections, the inability to control urination (incontinence), and general disturbances of the kidney and bladder.

It is also used for balding; tuberculosis; jaundice; hepatitis; brittle fingernails; joint diseases; gout; osteoarthritis; weak bones (osteoporosis); high cholesterol levels; frostbite; weight loss; heavy menstrual periods; and uncontrolled bleeding (hemorrhage) of the nose, lung, or stomach.

KELP

Kelp is a natural source of vitamins A, B1, B2, C, D, and E, as well as minerals including zinc, iodine, magnesium, iron, potassium, copper and calcium. In fact, it contains the highest natural concentration of calcium of any food - 10 times more than milk.

YUCCA

The root of the non-flowering plant is used to make medicine. Yucca is used for osteoarthritis, high blood pressure, migraine headaches, inflammation of the intestine (colitis), high cholesterol, stomach disorders, diabetes, poor circulation, and liver and gallbladder disorders.

PAU D’ARCO

Pau d'arco is an herbal supplement claimed to be anti-cancer and antimicrobial, especially anti-candida. Other uses for pau d'acrco include diabetes, ulcers, stomach inflammation (gastritis), liver ailments, asthma, bronchitis, joint pain, hernias, boils, and wounds.

PEPPERMINT

Peppermint is a plant in the mint family. The leaf and oil are used as medicine.

Peppermint oil is most commonly used for a long-term disorder of the large intestines that causes stomach pain (irritable bowel syndrome or IBS). Peppermint is also used for indigestion, spasms in the large bowel, nausea, and vomiting after surgery, headache, and many other conditions, but there is no good scientific evidence to support many of these uses.

QUEEN OF MEADOW

The plant contains high levels of salicylic acid which is known for its ability to reduce pain. Long used as a cure for digestive problems the herb also plays a role in the treatment of many other ailments such as reducing inflammation and to treat sunburn as well as swelling, arthritis, headaches, and coughs.

AMERICAN SAFFRON

Saffron is a plant. The dried stigmas (thread-like parts of the flower) are used to make saffron spice. It can take 75,000 saffron blossoms to produce a single pound of saffron spice. Saffron is largely cultivated and harvested by hand. Due to the amount of labor involved in harvesting, saffron is considered one of the world's most expensive spices. The stigmas, and sometimes the petals, are also used to make medicine.

Saffron is used for depression and Alzheimer's disease. Women use saffron for menstrual cramps and premenstrual syndrome (PMS). Men use it to for early orgasm (premature ejaculation) and infertility. Saffron is used for many other conditions, but there is no good scientific evidence to support many of these uses.

CELERY SEED

Celery is a plant that can be eaten raw or cooked.

Some people use celery on the skin to repel mosquitos. Some people also take celery by mouth for conditions such as menstrual cramps, prediabetes, and many others, but there is no good scientific evidence to support these uses.

GLYCERIN

Vegetable glycerin, also called glycerol, is made from soybean, coconut or palm oil, so it contains no animal products. Glycerin is used to keep foods moist, help mix oil- and water-based ingredients and sweeten foods. It also has some medical uses and may have some beneficial effects on hydration during exercise.
